If I have pre-made egg nog, how much alcohol should I add to it and what is the best type to add?

Can I add alcohol to store-bought egg nog?

Can I just add alcohol to some that I bought at the store, and how much should I add? Also, which would be better: rum, bourbon, or brandy? I’ve seen all of these liquors in recipes online.
