My daughter seems to drink and urinate a lot, two of the symptoms that are for Type 2 diabetes. I don’t know if it is just because it’s summer or whether it’s something to be concerned about. She doesn’t seem to have other symptoms, and if it continues I’m going to call her pediatrician…but I was just wondering if anyone else had a child that drank so much? She usually drinks an 8 oz sippy cup of juice/water or milk in the morning and can slam two down within a half hour when she gets home from daycare. They give her water and milk at daycare, but I’m not exactly sure how much she’s drinking there…they haven’t mentioned that it seems excessive, but…mommies tend to worry. Thanks for any thoughts or personal experiences with something like this!

I’ve been eating and drinking lots of sugar over this summer vacation, and recently started wondering how much I could eat before I get diabetes. Obviously, I don’t want to get it, I would like to know if I have to cut down on the amount I eat.

Currently, in one day, I’ll drink 1-2 cans of soda, eat a handful of Mike-N-Ikes, munch on Cheetos and other chips, and eat some other various carbohydrate-loaded foods. If I need to cut back on this I’d like to know…
No, I’m not going to get fat. I play a 2 hour soccer game on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and every other day I have 2 hours of conditioning. Conditioning being the most intense workout I have ever experienced.
