Hello, I am looking to view fairly inexpensive white cocktail dresses, so that I may wear one for my wedding reception.

Do you know of any good online dress stores?

I’m planning to get married in a church, then book a separate venue for the reception. Where does the cocktail hour usually take place? Is it usually in the same room as the reception is held? Or is it held in a smaller nearby room? What if we decide to have our reception in a tent? Then where will it be held. Thanks- I am new to all of this :)

My fiancee and I are getting married in March. Our ceremony is at 10:30AM and the lunch reception is from 12-4. How essential is it to have a cocktail hour during the reception time? We’re trying to keep things inexpensive and not having hours’ devours would save about $1500. Any advice is appreciated!

I will be using mason jars for “vases” and drinking glasses. I would like to save the expense of renting chairs and like the idea of haybales, but my soon to be husband thinks it is not a good idea

I am getting married on 6/6/09 at this location: http://www.metroparkstoledo.com/metroparks/services/gallery.asp?gid=123
its a gorgeous park with a cute gazebo. I wan to have a summery sunflower theme, and want sunflowers for the bouquets. The bridesmaid dresses are cocktail length in a green with lighter green sash (davids bridal clover and honeydew). The reception site is a really standard banquet hall. How can i decorate this hall for a summery sunflower feel. I am on a tight budget. Any suggestions to make this a simple summery sunflower wedding are appreciated. I have no clue where to start when thinking about decorating. Favor ideas??? thanks!!!!

Mom to the King and Captain asked:

After my current wedding guest attire fiasco where I bought 3 dresses, I just want to know if one that I did buy is appropriate for a November wedding so I don’t have to buy another one - black, halter style cocktail dress (little bit past my knees) or is that too summer-y? I was just thinking about it b/c of the colder weather (in Virginia). Thanks.

This will be a summer wedding and I will be playing violin for one hour, I’m not nervous or concerned about performing, but what would be appropriate to wear? I was thinking a simple long black dress, but is that ok for summer, or maybe pastel? I don’t want to stand out or have a cheap look. Any advice? Thank you!

I know this may be a dumb question but I’ve never gone to a wedding a before. I have a little cocktail dress in mind but it’s 300 dollars. So i was wondering would a floor length gown be appropriate for a summer wedding in the daytime?
