I often see posts complaining about airline travel. Since deregulation in the industry and fierce competition to move people at bargain basement prices; the airlines have worked hard to survive. To do this they downsized, merged, added seats, cut extra services, and employees have also taken cuts in pay and benefits. A first class fare in most instances still get the royal treatment; but cabin class is most likely flying cheaper than bus or train fare. Given this, the flight attendants whom are really there for the safety of the passengers spend a great deal of time seeing to your comfort, waiting on passengers wanting cocktails and watching the kids for Mom and Dad who are so tired from getting everyone to the airport on time have decided to take a two hour nap. The flight crews are professional and do their best to get you to your destination speedily and comfortably all for $99 each way from NY to Disney World. So 1 to 5 stars what do you expect and what is 5 star service these day’s?

that I’m an unfit mother because I work in the day, and now, since he left me, I have a nightime job cocktail serving because i make ends meet with that p/t job. So now I’m unfit? I’m just trying to survive since he cut me off from our joint account and I’m on my own now. Do you think the judge will think I’m unfit because I have 2 jobs? Not enough time with my children? He’s scarring me. I don’t want them to get taken away from me. I raised them for 5 years, that I’ve been home. ( i work out of the home for my daytime job) while he works. And now we’ve been having a lot of disagreements, arguements, and i just dont want to fight anymore. I always try to resolve things w/him w/o the kids hearing all of this. But he makes sure that it’s out in the open. What am i to do?

We have two small kids so we can’t get out much and have a pretty tight budget. We have a great group of friends that we see occassionally but not near enough. We want to have a standing cocktail party once or twice a month; people could stop by after 7pm for drinks and snacks. We expect a core group to show up for most of the parties but anticipate others being invited occassionally by us or by people in the core group. What would it be ok to ask friends to bring? What should we supply?
