John S asked:

I drank some egg nog last Christmas at a party and it had alcohol in it. It was awesome. I asked the host what was in it he said it was just bourbon. Has anyone else tried this?

Brandy is the best. It is also very good to make eggnog shakes. Vanilla icecream, eggnog, and brandy. YUM! Sprinkle with nutmeg.

If you mixed with vodka they called ‘Advocat ‘ -it’s kind a strong drink.

Rum, brandy, bourbon. Any nice dark spirits with a hint of sweetness will go well.
