I’m 6′2”, but only weight about 140lbs. I’m desperately wants to gain weight to improve my games(basketball). I seem to having a hard time gaining weight, because of my high metabolism. And I do not feel like eating anything especially at summer time. I lift weights, drink protein shakes, does not eat as much as I desired, but working on it. What else should I be aware of? And is anything would improve my desire to eat? Thanks!

how about eating real meat not ***** protein shakes, be a man and have your self a grilled steak.

that might be the problem.because your not taking real sources of protein. red meat and white meat are great in protein.

just think about it, your eating pure muscle from other animals

Okay u seem like those fragile asians with a small body structure fast metabolism and have a hard time trying to gain muscle. Workout at the gym like a fucking beast. Until u cant even get up to go home. The next day u should be sore if not get ure *** back to the gym. Eat alot of lean meats and and vegetables through out the day as they have protein and u need that ****. Dont workout when ure still sore NOT GOOD. And u can try to get a protein drink i suggest whey protein and drink it morning and night. Good luck. Remmeber high metabolism is about fat not muscle gain. U dont want a slow metabolism like me and get fat after one fucking slushy. So good luck.

okay what you need to do is take your protein shakes and eat high protein food and eat fruit and veg.

breakfast: 3 boileg eggs 2 slices of toast
    snack: cashew nuts
lunch: have a tin of tuna mixed with salad cream and put it on a sandwich
    snack: protein shake
dinner: chicken or steak with vegetables and gravy
    snack: a boiled egg/ nuts

if you eat this for a few weeks you will put on weight and if you workout this will be muscle

    muscle exercises:
    warm up and stretches
    10 press ups
dumbell curl 3 sets of 10
    10 press ups
    crunches 3 sets of 30
    15 press ups
hammer curl 3 sets of 10
    15 press ups
    crunches 2 sets of 30
    20 press ups
    cool down

take a protein shake half an hour before a workout and take a protein shake straight after your workout

you should see weight and muscle gain in a month or so

Here is a way to gain weight and muscle. It is not necessary to take supplements using my technique but you could if you wanted to gain weight faster.

    1. In order to gain weight and muscle you?ll need to acknowledge that you will have to gain fat weight before you can gain muscle weight. However, once you are done gaining fat weight it will be MUCH easier to gain muscle weight. I would recommend taking a break from lifting for at least 2 weeks. I know you?re probably thinking ?why would I stop lifting weights if I wanted to gain muscle??. I used to think the same thing but the truth is that if you are a true hardgainer you need to do everything in your power to slow down your metabolism. Literally you should do no exercise for at least 2 weeks.

    2. Incorporate chocolate milk into your diet as it is rich in vitamins. You?ll also get a good deal of protein and a lot of calories. Next eliminate all other dairy products from your diet as dairy contains lactate which is an appetite suppressant.

    3. Understand the difference between anabolic and catabolic states. In short if you want to gain weight you need to be in an anabolic state for as long as possible. The longest period that you are in a catabolic state is when you sleep. Interrupt this state by eating.

    4. If you sleep 8 hours wake up after 4 hours to eat as much as possible. It won?t be easy but that?s why it?s called HARDgaining. If you don?t feel like making anything in the middle of the night a good idea is to make a whey protein shake or weight gainer formula before you go to bed so you can just wake up, drink it, and go back to sleep.

    5. Incorporate high calorie/high protein foods into your diet. An example would be a peanut butter sandwich with oreos. Juice is high in calories and it is extremely easy to increase your calorie intake v.i.a. juice and ultimately ?gain weight?.

    6. Stop doing any aerobic or cardiovascular exercise. If you lift weights take 2 weeks off. This may seem counterproductive if you want to put on muscle mass but it gives your body a great rest, prevents plateau, and will ultimately allow you to gain muscle mass quickly.

    7. You need to eat more. A lot more. Don?t eat unhealthy foods. Eat foods high in calories, fats, and proteins which also have a lot of vitamins. These foods largely come from nuts, meats, and oats. You should aim to eat 5 to 6 meals per day.

    8. Or visit diet review site and find the right diet plan that really give you the power to decide for yourself, what you eat and how much. such as

I’m 6′2″ also and used to weight about 140 Ibs. I now weight 170lbs, and not because my metabolism slowed…because I worked for it. I too have a very, very high metabolism.

You MUST increase your calorie and protein intake. I know exactly what you mean when you Say “I do not feel like eating anything especially at summer time”. You just have to get used to eating regularly. You should be eating 6 meals a day and having 2-3 protein shakes with high calorie and protein everyday. At first I would suggest CytoGainer or Enormass. These both have high calorie and protein, they also have creatine which will help you workout harder and longer. Be aware though, creatine does have a side effect by causing pimples, especially on your arms (I no longer take it but it helped me to gain my first large amounts of weight). I intake 3000-4000 calories a day, you should try to do the same. And try to workout at least 4-5 times a week, not counting basketball, working all your muscles. Working out your legs as well will help gain weight faster. Your quad is the biggest muscle in your body, and you will notice heavier weight gains when you work them out.

I ate anything and everything whenever I could. I gained about 20 lbs in a couples of months. Although I wasn’t cut I was definately bigger, rounder and had a lot more muscle. I then started to play with my diet to get cut. Less carbs, and fat, and always high protein. Stay away from fast food, it isn’t good for anyone…not even while trying to gain weight. I used to be dependent on fast food, but then I noticed I too started to lose my appetite. Especially in the summer. When its fresh made or home cooked it is always good!

    Hope this helps! Good luck!
