At 14 you have no business drinking. You have serious risks of becoming an alcoholic. True Story: There is a guy around the corner from me. he started drinking at the age of 13 and is 26 now. He just found out that he has cirrhosis of the liver. Mind you, he’s been hospitalized many times for problems with his pancreas. Don’t become a statistic!!! STAY SOBER!!

I hope you have adult supervision on your trip ! Kids should never visit Mexico without responsible adults. Young people stand a chance of disappearing and are never heard from again. As for drinking, at your age stick to milk and sodas. Don’t be in such a hurry to grow up. There is plenty of time to get yourself into trouble when you are older. At least then you may be able to handle it better. It is illegal to drink in Mexico at your age, as it should be.

Wow, these people need to stop flaming, but to your question.
I was acutally 14 years old when i first went to mexico with my family. To be percise, i went to Cancun at a extensively nice hotel (some Riu hotel) but we had a all-inclusive deal, which means all drinks and meals are free. In our hotel room, we got unlimated Coronas and hard booze. But because this is a vacation resort, the alcoholic stores will card tourests. But if your parents are cool with you drinking, than nobody will care.

I’m with Chris, but try to bum it off your parents.

The drinking age in Mexico is 18; loosely enforced for Mexican citizens, but is much more enforced in nightclubs, much like it is in the US. If you were 16 I might wish you luck scoring a drink at a bar, but there is no reason a 14 year old should be drinking in any country.

In Mexico, anywhere, but I would not suggest it, you will become a target for trouble and very possibly a victim.
