For the summer I’m working it a wearhouse. It gets really hot and we need to bring alot of water to work with us. They tell us to drink alot of water before work. How does that help? I would think that if I’m 100% hydrated before i go into work and i keep drinking water then i would just *** it all out.

to get fat you have to be in calorie surplus
to stay hydrated you gotta have more water than your body uses

You will sweat out a lot of water if it’s hot, and if it’s really dry, you can lose water with breathing too! When you are well-hydrated you will have to *** often! But you will be losing significant water and salts through sweat.
Water on its own is good, but electrolytes like Gatorade give you other things that you lose in sweat (potassium, sodium salts). You will stay hydrated better using an electrolyte drink than just water alone when you are at work..(you absorb the fluid quicker because it has the salts that you need ,not just the water!)
Gatorade has a lot of sugar, so you can dilute it with water or go with a lower calorie electrolyte drink, like G2. (a newer gatorade)

If you stop ****** and/or sweating, then you’ve become dehydrated. Your system uses it then cycles it through so a continuous flow is important. You may be drinking some caffeine which is a diuretic and can cause you to flush out the water you’re drinking alot faster. I don’t work in the heat but I do drink caffeine and water. I have to *** every 30 mins to an hr.

When you are doing vigorous activity (or work in very hot place), you can lose water by sweating. This can quickly lead to dehydration if you are not consuming enough fluids to make up for what you are sweating out.

Actually, if it’s really hot in that warehouse and you’re working hard, you’re more likely to sweat out the extra water than end up ****** it out.
