BIGgourami asked:

i’ve made 3 different drinks, from ’scratch’, i didn’t look them up in a recipe or online or anything..

one is amouretto and apple soda,
another is jarritos tamarind flavored drink and tequilla/vodka
the last is orange juice, a beer and a shot of vodaka

1) has anybody heard of these combinations before?
-if youy have what are they called
2) what should i name my creations?
- i was thinkn ing ‘italian summer’ for the ammouretto, no ideas for the jarrito’s/tequilla, and for the vodka/beer/OJ i was thinking ‘brass monkey balls’ like a cross between brass monkey (beer and OJ) and a screwball (OJ and vodka)

any comments, ideas, suggestions?
oh i’ve ‘tested’ them all on my friends, lol, and they are all pretty badass apparently..

the brass monkey ball creeps up on you and the amouretto gets you smashed without knowing it (very sweet, it doesn’t taste like alcohal)
well there is another where it’s mint ice cream, 7 up and rum… i call it a winter mojito..

and there’s one that’s jack daniels, 7up, marashino cherries, mar. cherry juice and pucker’s peach schnaaps…

i think those are unique enough.. lol
any ideas for them?

    1. I think I have heard of something simmilar to the last one…but thats it.

    2. I like your name for the amaretto one…apple and cherry, hmm “Italian blossom” or “Cherry Blossom”

for the tamarind one…thats a tough one…”Tribal Assault”

the beer one…i like your name, stick with it.

Unless you have 5+ ingredients, made in an unique way…assume someone has created a drink with a exact or similar ingredients.

Your naming is going well, I do the same thing. Try to mix already created drinks, altering created drinks, and using celebrities (example: Jack Nicholson; you can start with Jack Daniels, etc, etc)

Want some originality, go for unique looks, like floating a dense liqueur into a transparent/translucent drink….or added creative garnishes, such as blueberries in a white cranberry drink, blueberries floating.

Get heavily created or assume someone has definitely done it before

one is amouretto and apple soda
    What is “Apple soda”?

another is jarritos tamarind flavored drink and tequilla/vodka
If it’s not coming out of a tap gun… it’s not likely anyone bothered to name it.

the last is orange juice, a beer and a shot of vodaka
    Many variations… see below.
