I think it also has cocktail sauce on it and is served with RITZ type crackers. The hostess called it sleeper or something like that it looked a fright but it was sooooo good. Thanks in advance!

I prefer gin cocktails and frequently enjoy a good martini. I generally go with what many call a lime gimlet martini which is somewhat dry as I use very little vermouth but the lime juice makes it just a bit more ‘wet’. I’d like to try something different so what’s the best recipe out there?

I came across a website ages ago that I loved but lost! It had a 50’s but still very modern design and included fantastic cocktail recipes. I seem to remember a 50’s housewife with an apron and something to do with Egg in the title?

I know this is really vague but I thought that my description might spark someones memory. I’ve been trying to find it for ages and wonder if it even exists anymore?
It had a really clean modern layout - don’t know if this helps! I’m so frustrated because I know it in my mind… they had a great chocolate cake recipe on there!
one more thing! i’m pretty sure it had a feature where you could collect recipes and put them in a ‘recipe box’!

I am getting married in my home and it is just family coming–several from out of town. So I wanted to have a chance for everyone to get together and mingle/visit since it’s been a while since we’ve all been together. I am having a luncheon cocktail hour for visiting, etc…before the ceremony. I am having shrimp cocktail, mini quiches, cherry tomatoes stuffed with pesto and topped with freshly grated parmesan cheese, cheese and cracker platter, fruit platter (maybe veggies too), and maybe broiled crab-stuffed mushroom caps. I need ONE more appetizer–like a fancy finger sandwhich or pinwheel sandwhich. Mind you–I am prepping this stuff myself (with mom’s help) the day before–except the stuff that goes in the oven obviously. I’ve perused hors d’oeuvre/appetizer books and recipe websites. I’m just not finding that last one that jumps out at me and sounds great with maybe a little sophistication. (Nothing in a sauce–too messy.)
